Various types of sprinkler couplings

There are various quick-release couplings available for irrigation purposes. Among others, we have the following couplings in our range:

  • Storz couplings
  • Geka couplings
  • Gardena couplings

Storz links

Storz universal couplings for press and suction connections are made of a corrosion-resistant aluminium and are therefore lightweight as well as stainless. Easy to handle and well-sealing coupling suitable for many applications in agriculture, construction and industry. The cam distance is measured between the cams. A Storz spanner is available for coupling and uncoupling.

Geka couplings

Geka couplings are commonly used quick couplings in the agricultural sector. These couplings are designed with ease of use in mind. Connecting this coupling requires a simple twisting motion. This coupling is easy to attach without the use of tools.

Gardena couplings

Gardena couplings are common quick connectors for gardeners and homeowners. These couplings offer a quick solution for connecting and disconnecting garden hoses and sprinklers. Connecting this coupling is done via a simple click system. Pressing the female and male couplings together creates a watertight connection. When the couplings are taken apart, a valve seals the female coupling.

The right coupling for your application

When choosing the right coupling for your irrigation application, it is important to consider a few factors. Match the coupling to your own irrigation plan. Important here:

  • Type of hose, check that the size and passage is suitable the type of hose. For example, Gardena and Geka couplings are ideal for garden hoses while Storz couplings are better suited for agricultural use in combination with fire hoses, for example.
  • Speed and convenience, all types of sprinkler couplings have in common that you can connect them together quickly and easily. With some couplings, this can be done manually such as Geka and Gardena couplings. With Storz couplings, a special Storz spanner is available for this purpose.
  • Water tightness, for reliable operation it is important to have a watertight connection. When fitting a coupling on the suction side of the pump keep in mind that it must have a suction seal. For a quick coupling on the discharge side of a pump, the normal discharge seal is sufficient for proper operation.
