Reels made of various materials for various applications

Our high-pressure reels are available in various materials. We have reels made of stainless steel, powder-coated steel, aluminium and plastic. For an application where the reel is exposed to weather influences or in an environment where no rust should occur, such as in the food industry, we recommend using a stainless steel reel. Powder-coated, plastic or aluminium reels are available for other applications.

Hand-operated or self-coiling reels

The difference between a self-coiling reel and hand-operated reel is the way it is coiled. But that's not the only difference. What other differences there are between these reels can be read below.

Hand-operated hose reels

A manually operated reel has a crank on the side and you can wind it by turning this crank. In doing so, you need to guide the hose with the other hand so that it lands neatly on the reel. The advantage of these reels is that they are cheaper than the self-coiling reels and you can store a longer hose if necessary.

Self-coiling hose reels

A self-coiling hose reel has a spring. This spring ensures that the reel is automatically rolled up after use. These reels can be locked in 8 places per rotation. These reels are available in various sizes. The right size of the reel ultimately depends on the number of metres of high-pressure hose, the diameter of the high-pressure hose and the working pressure of the installation. These reels are available in powder-coated steel and stainless steel. The powder-coated hose reel is suitable for almost any application and is very interesting in terms of price. The stainless steel reel can be used very well in the food sector or in places where it is subject to weather influences.
