Flow switch

A flow switch is used to detect whether or not there is "flow" of water in the high-pressure system. Based on this, electrical switching on/off can be performed. A flow switch, when properly applied, can also be a safety device for the burner or high-pressure pump. More information

Consider working pressure and water flow rate of the flow switch

Flow switches have maximum pressure, maximum water passage, maximum water temperature and power connection. Take these into account when choosing the right flow switch. Choose one that suits your high-pressure system.

For switching off high-pressure pump or burner

By applying a flow switch to a pressure washer, you can protect the burner from overheating. For example, you can have a burner switched off as soon as there is no more flow. You can also use it as a stop switch for the high-pressure pump by turning it off when there is no more water flow in the discharge side of the high-pressure pump. This prevents dry-running of the high-pressure pump. Combined with a pressure switch, this gives you an extra "safeguard" if the pressure regulator should stop working correctly.

Mount the flow switch correctly

To avoid malfunctions, the should not be placed near heat or magnetic sources. Take the flow direction of the water into account during installation. This is usually indicated on the flow switch by means of an arrow. There are also flow switches without springs that work on the basis of gravity. Always mount these flow switches vertically for correct operation.
