Waterkracht has accumulators for different working pressures in its product range. Upon request, we can match the filling pressure of the accumulator to the required filling pressure. Preventing water hammer

A water hammer accumulator, also known as a water hammer absorber, is a device used to reduce the harmful effects of water hammer in piping systems. Water hammer occurs when the flow of water in a pipe system is suddenly disrupted, for example by the rapid closing of a tap. This can lead to high pressure spikes that can cause damage to pipes, taps and other components in the system. To prevent this, an accumulator can be installed.

Accumulator for various applications

Accumulators can be placed on the pipework or directly on the pump head of a high-pressure pump.

Mounting on pipework

When mounting on the pipework, you install an accumulator to prevent a backflow into the pipework. For this, you use an accumulator with a capacity of 0.75 litres. The filling pressure of the accumulator should be around 90% of the working pressure for proper operation.

Mounting on the pump head

When mounting the accumulator directly on the pump head of the high-pressure pump, you place a 0.32-litre accumulator. This softens the vibrations and peak pressures of the plungers. When mounting the accumulator directly on the pump head, we recommend a filling pressure of 70% of the working pressure.
